Anonymous said: i doubt you actually looked up the pluto thing because yes it is actually a fucking planet now lol
rofl noooo it’s not and i doubt YOU actually looked it up
what were your sources? those two links in the big long celebratory post about it?
because L O fucking L those sources STRAIGHT UP SAY that pluto’s planetary status was recently a subject of a public opinion poll, not a legitimate NASA ruling.
pluto’s planetary status was discussed during a public attendance debate at the harvard school of astronomy. the audience of this lecture was given an opinion poll: should pluto be a planet? the audience voted yes.
in case you weren’t aware, opinion polls are not in fact proof of concrete changes in anything. it’s just an opinion poll. nothing more.
did you spend at least two entire seconds looking at this on google? because if so you would’ve seen all this information for yourself and wouldn’t come crying to me about it.
BEHOLD YOUR OWN SOURCES WHICH YOU DID NOT APPARENTLY READ USED AS EVIDENCE AGAINST YOUR SHODDY RESEARCH:
People Have Voted: Pluto Is A Planet! (TIME) — the people have voted! and the result of their public opinion poll does not in fact tell the IAU or NASA what to do.
Is Pluto A Planet? The Votes Are In (Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics) — the actual harvard coverage of the debate, which again, is only a public opinion and does not override the IAU’s ruling.
Pluto’s A Planet, According to a New Public Debate (ScienceAlert) — i’m just gonna point out that “according to a public debate” is actually part of the fucking title and leave it at that.
when in doubt, read the wiki. pluto is still a dwarf planet.
punchline: much as the IAU knows the general public would like pluto to be a planet, it is still not a fucking planet.
Also, the homie NDT said it’s not a planet, nor will it ever be. Might as well rip that band aid off, you’ll thank me later.
